A RESOURCE CENTER ON PESTICIDES & SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE
The PAN Africa Resource Center on Chemical pesticides, IPM and sustainable Agriculture is now open to the public. So far, it possesses 476 catalogues, 1081 articles, over 103 periodicals, several reports and studies written in French, English and Spanish. The publications mainly deal with the following topics :

Pesticides : origin, classification, impact on pests, people and the environment ; policies and strategies for pesticides use reduction . |

IPM (Integrated Pest Management) and natural crop protect : approaches, methods, techniques, experiments and results in Africa and worldwide. |

Agriculture, sustainable development and agricultural policies : approaches to organic agriculture, agroecology, organic research, farmers groups, distribution and trading of agricultural production. |

Environment : depletion of the ozone layer, fight against desertification, wastes, pollution and nuisances. |

Biodiversity and Biotechnology ; policies and actions for the conservation of biodiversity, development and impact of biotechnologies. |

Natural resources, Forestry and Energy ; information on Agroforestry, energy resources and natural resources. Hydrology and climatology. |

Hydrology and climatology dams, water and environment management, economic development and climatic changes. |

Population and health : Studies on world population and health systems, the effects of toxic chemical pesticides and substances on human health, results of epidemiologic surveys and laboratory experiments. |
